Parts Interpreter

Astec Australia is seeking a motivated Junior Parts Interpreter to join our Parts team at our Acacia Ridge Head Office. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to build a long‑term career in parts and customer support within a respected global business.

In this role, you’ll support Astec Australia’s customers across Australia and New Zealand, helping to ensure their parts needs are met efficiently and accurately. You’ll work closely with internal teams, suppliers, and our sister companies while developing your technical knowledge and customer service skills.

• Interpret and identify parts for customers, service technicians, and internal stakeholders

• Answer parts enquiries via phone and emails provide timely, professional support

• Prepare parts quotations and estimates accurately and efficiently

• Identify sales leads and opportunities to support parts sales growth

• Assist with achieving budgeted parts sales targets and encouraging repeat business

• Build and maintain relationships with Astec sister companies

• Generate and process stock orders from suppliers

• Provide procurement and purchasing assistance as required

• Maintain and grow the end‑user database to support customer engagement

• Interest in parts, mechanical equipment, or the heavy machinery / industrial sector

• Strong communication skills and a customer‑focused approach

• Willingness to learn parts systems and develop technical knowledge

• Organised, reliable, and comfortable working in a busy team environment

• Previous exposure to parts, service, or administration (advantageous but not essential)
