Salesperson – Used Car Dealership

A2Z Cars is looking for a motivated, friendly and reliable Automotive Salesperson to join our growing used car dealership in Belmore.

This is a full-time role suited to someone who enjoys working with customers, is confident communicating by phone and in person, and is comfortable working in a fast-paced dealership environment.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Greeting and assisting customers at the dealership

• Understanding customers’ needs and recommending suitable vehicles

• Showing vehicles to customers and assisting with test drives

• Helping customers throughout the vehicle purchasing process

• Answering phone, email, website and social media enquiries

• Following up with potential customers and sales leads

• Negotiating sales professionally in consultation with management

• Taking clear, professional photos of vehicles for advertising

• Writing and publishing vehicle advertisements

• Advertising vehicles on Carsales, Facebook Marketplace, Gumtree and other online platforms

• Keeping vehicle advertisements, prices and information accurate and up to date

• Monitoring online enquiries and responding to customers promptly

• Inspecting trade-in vehicles and assisting with trade-in valuations and price estimates

• Researching current market prices and comparable vehicles

• Preparing basic sales paperwork and collecting customer information

• Maintaining accurate customer records and following up consistently

• Liaising with management, finance brokers and other team members

• Keeping vehicles and the dealership presentable, professional and organised

• Assisting with vehicle handovers and ensuring customers have a positive experience

• Providing general sales and administrative support as required

We are looking for someone who:

• Has excellent communication, negotiation and customer service skills

• Is confident, friendly and professional

• Has a genuine interest in cars and the automotive industry

• Is comfortable taking vehicle photos and creating online advertisements

• Has an understanding of vehicle pricing and trade-in valuations, or is willing to learn

• Is organised and able to follow up customers consistently

• Has good computer and basic administrative skills

• Is comfortable using phones, email, social media and online advertising platforms

• Is motivated and able to work towards sales targets

• Is honest, reliable, punctual and willing to learn

• Can work independently and as part of a small team

• Holds a current Australian Driver Licence

• Has full working rights in Australia

Previous automotive sales experience is highly regarded but not essential. We are also happy to consider applicants with strong sales or customer service experience who are eager to learn and build a career in the automotive industry.

Experience with Carsales, Facebook Marketplace, vehicle photography, online advertising or trade-in valuations would be an advantage.
