Senior Coordinator Clinical Services, Residential (Nursing)

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Senior Coordinator Clinical Services, Residential is responsible for the leadership and management of the residential services and programs within the Clinical Services portfolio, including Ngala’s residential parenting service. They manage a team of experienced nursing and allied health staff to deliver clinical services of a high standard. With the guidance and support of the Operations Manager Clinical Services, they are accountable for ensuring effective day to day operations rosters, staffing, and performance, while supporting workforce development through training, upskilling, and personal development plans.

DUTIES

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Under the guidance of the Chief Clinical Services Officer and Operations Manager Clinical Services, manage the Residential portfolio by ensuring efficient and effective service delivery within services and programs under this role’s responsibility
• Participate in multidisciplinary decision making for the development and implementation of portfolio objectives to provide high quality customer service, operating in accordance with Ngala’s strategic direction.
• Monitor and manage resources, including a team of experienced nursing and allied health staff, equipment, and supplies across all relevant programs. Accountable for managing staff rosters, leave and succession planning. Works with the Operations Manager to progress Personal Development Plans and address performance management.
• Implement and manage the portfolio budget, in consultation with the Chief Clinical Services Officer and Ngala’s Finance team, ensuring financial sustainability and efficiency.
• Champion, implement and support Ngala teams to ensure:

• Practice is in line with the most recent research and evidence.
• Measures are in place to assess and respond to performance
• Standards of client care are of a high quality.
• Patient and family concerns and complaints are addressed and resolved in a timely manner.

• Ensure service delivery aligns with the National Safety and Quality Mental Health Standards for Community Managed Organisations (NSQMHCMO) and other recognised health standards for the portfolio

ABOUT YOU

The successful candidate will be highly organised and have strong communication skills together with the following:

• Relevant tertiary qualifications in a clinical field (nursing preferred)
• Demonstrated experience in a leadership role preferably in a child and family health environment, providing staff supervision and support, team oversight and resource management.
• Clinical experience in a child and family health environment.
• Well-developed interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships and foster high performing teams.
• Well-developed written communication skills, with the ability to write and effectively review professional correspondence and develop informative reports
• Proven ability to work within a changing and dynamic environment.
• Knowledge of relevant legislation and policies, including a commitment to continual improvement and quality practice.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

• Registration with AHPRA or equivalent health professional governing body
• Able to work across other Ngala sites as required.
• Possession of a Working with Childrens Check.
• Possession of a current National Police Clearance.
• Possession of current WA driver’s licence.
