We are looking for a Terminal Operator to join our Kwinana team and support the safe, reliable and efficient operation of our bitumen terminal.

This is a permanent full-time role working Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts, offering predictable ordinary working hours compared with traditional rotating 12-hour shift rosters.

You will commence as a Terminal Operator Level 1 at $48.66 per hour plus superannuation, with opportunities to develop your skills and progress to:

• Terminal Operator Level 2 – $50.92 per hour

• Terminal Operator Level 3 – $55.19 per hour

Progression is subject to achieving the relevant competency and classification requirements.

This position also participates in an on-call roster outside ordinary working hours. We want candidates to be aware of this requirement from the outset, and the on-call arrangements will be discussed during the recruitment process.

As part of our Kwinana operations team, you will:

• Safely load and unload bitumen products from trucks.

• Operate and monitor terminal equipment, including pumps, tanks and pipelines.

• Conduct product quality checks and ensure compliance with relevant standards and procedures.

• Monitor equipment and identify and respond to operational issues.

• Maintain accurate operational records and documentation.

• Support safe, reliable and efficient day-to-day terminal operations.

• Work collaboratively with the broader terminal team.

• Participate in the on-call roster and respond to operational requirements outside ordinary working hours when rostered.

We are looking for someone who has:

• A minimum of two years' experience in a terminal, production, process or similar operational environment.

• Experience in bulk liquids, bitumen, fuels, chemicals, oil and gas, manufacturing or a similar industrial environment.

• Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with pumps, tanks, pipelines or similar process equipment.

• A strong commitment to workplace health and safety.

• Good problem-solving skills and the ability to respond effectively to operational issues.

• Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality and compliance.

• Good communication and teamwork skills.

• A current driver's licence.

• The ability and willingness to participate in an on-call roster.

Relevant High Risk Work licences and experience working to quality assurance standards will be highly regarded.

• Starting rate of $48.66 per hour plus superannuation.

• Progression opportunities to $50.92 per hour at Level 2 and $55.19 per hour at Level 3 as you develop and meet the relevant competency requirements.

• Monday–Friday, 8-hour ordinary shifts.

• Predictable ordinary working hours without a rotating 12-hour shift roster.

• Training and development to build your terminal operating capability.

• A permanent role within an experienced operational team.

• A strong focus on safety, teamwork and operational excellence.

This role requires participation in an on-call roster outside normal working hours. If you are rostered on-call, you will be expected to be available to respond to operational requirements in accordance with the site's on-call arrangements.
