Clinical Measurement Scientist - Senior (Cardiac Electrophysiology)

This position will deliver evidenced-based cardiac diagnostic and electrophysiology services independently within the Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service.

The Role

An opportunity has become available for several Clinical Measurement Scientist – Senior (Cardiac Electrophysiology) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 14 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia. 

You will

• Deliver independent high-level services to electrophysiology services
• Exercise professional judgement to a complex caseload
• Provide clinical advice and education to professional and teams, service managers and stakeholders
• Provide clinical practice supervision to training staff and student 

About you

To be successful in this position you will require:

• Tertiary degree in health science (or equivalent), with a strong component of human anatomy and physiology
• Participation in afterhours "Emergency Clinical On Call" services
• Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
• Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
• Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
• Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary

• Temporary part-time (3 months with possibility of extension, hours negotiable)
• Base salary ranging from $64.64 - $69.55 per hour

The Clinical Measurement Unit (Cardiac Investigations) offers a wide range of cardiac diagnostic services including echocardiography, exercise stress echocardiography, dobutamine stress echocardiography, pacemaker/Internal Cardioverter Defibrillator interrogation and programming, cardiac electrophysiology studies, cardiac catheterisation monitoring, exercise stress testing, electrocardiograms, tilt tables testing, ambulatory blood pressure monitoring, holter and event monitoring.
