Mater Private Hospital Mackay is seeking Registered Nurses to join our Sacred Heart (Medical) Ward. Whether you're an experienced nurse ready for a new challenge or a Graduate Nurse looking to build your career, we'd love to hear from you.

Sacred Heart is a busy 31-bed medical ward caring for patients with a wide range of acute and chronic medical conditions. This diverse clinical environment offers excellent opportunities to develop your medical nursing skills while working alongside a highly experienced multidisciplinary team. Salary range: $44.06 - $56.52 per hour plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900  + access to many staff benefits!  

What you’ll be doing 

• Our Registered Nurses provide evidence-based and contemporary patient-centred clinical care in collaboration with other multidisciplinary healthcare team members. The delivery of care extends to patient advocacy with particular consideration to patients' physical, emotional and spiritual needs that contribute to optimal clinical outcomes.  

• Registered Nurses are responsible for ensuring safe and efficient care management within the scope of practice and professional guidelines. Still, they may not be limited to legislation, regulations, standards, codes, qualifications, registration and clinical competencies. 

About you

To be successful in this position, you will have the following:  

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse with no practice restrictions 

• Digital and computer proficiency 

• Minimum of one-year post-graduate experience 

• Effective communication and clinical problem-solving skills to maximise patient care and outcomes 

• Knowledge and commitment to continuous improvement of health care and nursing practice 

• Demonstrates a collaborative and engaging approach to teamwork and the ability to work within the multi-disciplinary team
