Role overview
We are seeking a skilled and customer‑focused Trades Assistant, who wants to start their career as Field Service Technician to service, maintain and install Groeneveld‑BEKA systems. You’ll be installing and maintaining automatic lubrication systems on trucks, earth-moving equipment, and fixed and mobile plants. The role involves travel within the region and occasional interstate travel (if needed).

Key responsibilities

• Install and maintain automatic lubrication systems: on trucks, earth-moving equipment, and fixed and mobile plants. We have diagrams and manuals.

• Get in the van/Ute and drive to places: Complete product installations and service work at customer/assigned locations.

• Be proud of your work: Maintain a clean, organised work area while performing installations and service work. 

• Assist customers: by unveiling the mysteries of their lubrication systems. 

• Timely communication: Provide clear, timely communication with customers and internal teams about job status, parts requirements and technical issues.

• OH&S: Adhere to all Health & Safety procedures and site rules; participate in site safety inductions.

What we’re looking for

• Mechanically minded self-starter with excellent problem-solving skills. 

• You need to be a fast learner, understand technical diagrams and a bit of electrical knowledge. 

• Good communication skills with the team and customers; professional and courteous when representing the company onsite. 

• Current clean and valid Australian driver's license. 

• Ability to lift and handle equipment safely; physically fit for site work and manual handling tasks.

This job covers Melbourne Metropolitan and Regional Victoria.   The Head Office is based in Sunshine West.
