About the role
Our vision is to be a leading public university of technology recognised for our global impact. The Faculty of Science are looking to backfill a Technical Services Manager (Analytical) position for a period of up to 18 months.
About the role
The Technical Services Manager (Analytical) leads a discipline-based Technical Services team delivering safe, reliable and customer-focused support across shared analytical facilities, specialist instrumentation platforms, laboratories and teaching spaces. The role is accountable for operational performance, people leadership, workforce planning and resource management, ensuring services support high-quality teaching, research and external engagement outcomes. The position oversees grouped analytical capabilities, manages the lifecycle and performance of high-value instrumentation, and drives service excellence through strategic planning, stakeholder engagement and effective management of technical resources, vendor relationships and service delivery.

Remuneration
Base Salary Range: $146,657 to $153,642 per annum (HEW 9)
This role attracts 17% superannuation in addition to the base salary.
This position is full time and an appointment will be made on a fixed-term basis for approximately 18 months (to backfill staff secondment). The successful candidate will be expected to work full time onsite at UTS Broadway Sydney campus.
