Private Household Housekeeper

About the role

We are a busy family seeking a reliable and proactive part time Housekeeper (25hrs per week, between 9am and 2pm) to support the day-to-day running of our home. With a full schedule and growing family commitments, we are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys creating a clean, organised, and calm home environment. This role will help ensure things run smoothly during the day, particularly while the family is out. This is a long-term opportunity for someone who is trustworthy, takes initiative, and enjoys working independently.

Key responsibilities

• Weekday school lunch prep

• Prepping and/or cooking dinner 3-4 times per week

• Grocery shopping as required

• Daily rounds of dusting, surface wipe-down, common area tidying, and making beds

• Regular vacuuming and mopping

• Weekly deep clean of kitchen and bathrooms

• Cupboard & Pantry organisation

• Adhoc household cleaning (i.e., dusting shutters/blinds, removing ceiling cobwebs, cleaning windows/sliding glass doors, exterior cleaning, gardening etc)

• Washing and folding laundry

• Changing and washing bed linen/towels once a week/dry cleaning drop off and pick-up

• Assistance in preparing for events (logistics, food preparation)

About you

• Previous experience in housekeeping, cleaning, or domestic support roles

• High attention to detail and pride in maintaining a well-presented home

• Reliable, trustworthy, and self-motivated

• Comfortable working independently while the family is out

• Friendly and respectful of a family environment
