Curtain Machinist – Kilsyth

Metro Shades makes custom curtains and blinds for retailers and builders across Victoria. We're after an experienced machinist to join our curtain workroom.

The job

• Cut and join fabric to size from job sheets

• Machine side hems and bottom hems

• Apply heading tape and finish to spec

• Work across sheers, blockout linings and heavy fabrics

• Industrial machines

You'll need

• Experience on industrial sewing machines

• Accurate measuring and cutting

• A good eye for finish

• Reliable, and easy to work with

Curtain experience is a bonus. If you've sewn clothing, upholstery or soft furnishings, we'll train you on the rest.

What we offer

• Full time, Monday to Friday. No weekends.

• Steady work all year

• Small team, on-site parking
