About the role

We are seeking an experienced Part-time Pattern Maker to join our talented team at Anna Thomas, a leading high end women's brand in the garment industry. As a Pattern Maker, you will play a crucial role in bringing our designs to life, ensuring that our clothing products fit and flatter our customers perfectly. This is a part-time role based in our Cremorne, Victoria office.

What you'll be doing

1. Develop detailed, high-quality patterns for our clothing collections based on designer sketches and specifications

2. Collaborate with the design team to refine patterns, modify blocks and ensure they meet our quality standards

3. Participate in fittings and make necessary adjustments to patterns to achieve the desired fit and silhouette

4. Maintain accurate pattern records and documentation

5. Provide guidance and support to the production team to ensure patterns are interpreted correctly

6. Finalise pattern grading, as well as markers for optimum consumption efficiency.

What we're looking for

1. Minimum 3 years' experience as a Pattern Maker in the garment manufacturing industry

2. Proficiency in pattern drafting, grading, and marker making using both manual and digital techniques

3. Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for fit and construction

4. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills to work collaboratively with the design and production teams

5. Expertise with our in house Gerber pattern making software.

6. A passion for fashion and a commitment to delivering high-quality, well-fitting products
