Facility Manager: ANFF - SA Node

• Based in the Future Industries Institute at the Mawson Lakes Campus
• Full-time, fixed term contract until 30 June 2028

ANFF-SA is a world-class micro and nanofabrication facility providing access to cutting-edge research infrastructure as part of the wider ANFF network. The facility includes additive, subtractive, and wafer-based fabrication capabilities in state-of-the-art laboratories. The ANFF-SA team supports innovation across a wide range of applications, including defence, space, medical, resources, manufacturing, and environment.

This role will help to develop and implement the Node’s strategic plan, including procurement activities, business development, reporting requirements, manage project negotiations and strategic relationships.

You will lead a dynamic team, who are driven to make a difference and deliver exceptional service and outputs.

The team 

Reporting to the ANFF-SA Director, the Facility Manager, will have 5 direct reports including Team Leaders, within a wider team of professional staff at Mawson Lakes Campus.

You will also work closely with Academic and Professional staff across the University, research students, cross- institutional partners, as well as a range of industry agencies and collaborators.

Experience 

To join our community and thrive in this role, you will likely have the following skills and experience: 

• Experience in managing a technical or research facility with diverse internal and external stakeholders
• Experience in project management, including delivery of consulting or research projects within scope, budget and timeframes
• Experience in strategy development and implementation, including identifying opportunities and supporting business development
• Experience leading, managing and developing teams, including resource allocation, performance management and workload planning
• Experience in major infrastructure and instrumentation projects, including procurement and operational implementation
• Experience building and managing strategic relationships with stakeholders including industry, government and research partners
