What you will be doing
As a Cash Processing Specialist at Brinks Australia, you will play a pivotal role in our cash processing centre's daily operations. Your key responsibilities will include:
Receiving, bulk-counting, and securely packaging banknotes for dispatch, storage, or further processing.
Handling incoming and outgoing transactions for our diverse range of customers, including both foreign currency and Australian Dollars.
Collaborating with the Cash Processing Centre Manager and team to prioritize tasks, maximize productivity, and ensure exceptional service.
Identifying and promptly reporting any discrepancies to maintain financial integrity.
Rotating through different areas of the Cash Centre, gaining exposure to various aspects of our operations.
Strictly adhering to all Brinks Security Controls and Procedures to eliminate the risk of loss.
Leading by example and embodying our organization's values, promoting a culture of safety, customer focus, integrity, engagement, and continuous improvement.
What you need in order to succeed in the role
More than 1 year of experience in high volume cash handling environments
Solid knowledge of Australian currency, highly advantageous for those with knowledge of various currencies and denominations
High attention to detail
Logical and process driven mindset
Ability to carry and move weight of 10KG - 20KG
Strong communication both written and verbal
Dedicating to delivering outstanding customer service and exceeding
Effective time management and organisational skills
Real-time decision-making skills
A strong sense of ownership and accountability
