About the role

We are seeking multiple roles Cafe Manager/Barista and Pastisserie Chef/Kitchen hand to join our team in the new 88 O'connell development. These roles offer flexibility and the opportunity to work across multiple aspects of hospitality, from leading customer interactions to overseeing pastry preparation and café operations. Cafe Manager/Barista hours are Monday- Friday 7am starts, with the occasional weekend cover. Pastisserie Chef/Kitchen hand will be a rotating roster across 7 days.

Key responsibilities Cafe Manager/Barista

Prepare and serve specialty coffee beverages with precision and consistency, maintaining our standards

• Manage café operations, including opening and closing procedures, stock management and rotation

• Provide exceptional customer service, building relationships with regular customers and creating a welcoming environment

• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards

• Monitor inventory levels and place orders for supplies as needed

• Proven experience as a barista with strong knowledge of espresso-based beverages and coffee preparation techniques

• Respond to customer feedback and resolve any service issues professionally

• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Key responsibilities Patisserie chef/kitchen hand

• Create and prepare high-quality pastries and baked goods following established recipes and food safety standards

• Assist in menu planning and development of new pastry items

• Demonstrated experience in pastry preparation or baking, with the ability to produce high-quality pastries and baked goods

• Excellent customer service skills with a genuine passion for hospitality

• Strong communication and team collaboration abilities

• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards

• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining quality standards
