Murrin Murrin Operations has an opportunity for an IS&T Systems Engineer (Operational Support) to join our established and dedicated team.

The Role

The successful candidate will become a member of a hardworking and committed team you will be responsible for the support and management of packaging and deploying software, updates and patches as well as working with other technical teams to ensure IT systems are secure and compliant with Glencore global IT standards.  This will be a Perth Based 5 | 2 role with one week a month Site Based on a 4 | 3 roster. 

You will be responsible for:

• Perform information system security vulnerability scanning to discover and analyse vulnerabilities on the network, characterise risks and delegate to relevant teams to rectify.
• Manage all compliance and vulnerability for the desktop environment, including identifications, monitoring and raising tickets to rectify.
• Using MECM & group policy where possible to resolve compliance / vulnerability issues.
• Management of VDI and physical endpoints ensuring they are compliant
• Ensure compliance with Glencore IS&T security policies including patching and vulnerability management.
• Oversee and work with other teams to ensure any vulnerabilities are remediated.
• Continuous review and test of the Glencore SOE, OS and application updates to help minimise disruption to critical IT services. 
• Provide sound IS&T advice to users and business stakeholders and ensure compliance with Glencore IS&T local, regional and global security policy.
• Assist the Operational Support team with more complex work arounds or resolutions when required.

Reporting directly to the Supervisor Field Delivery this role would suit a detailed and process oriented person. 

You will also have:

• Diploma or Degree in Information Technology or equivalent experience. 
• Experience in a similar role overseeing and maintaining and deploying Windows Server OS in an enterprise environment.
• Experience maintaining and deploying Windows Desktop and Server operating systems.
• Technical expertise in Directory and Network Services, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP.
• Competent in Group Policy design and deployment
• Application Packaging Experience with MECM or application virtualization technologies.
• Manual Drivers Licence
