Reporting to the Head of Department, you will deliver engaging and contemporary Science programs that challenge, inspire and support students to achieve their potential. You will contribute to a culture of academic excellence through curriculum design and effective teaching practice.

The successful applicant will:

• Design and deliver high-qualtiy, engaging and differentiated lessons.

• Create engaging and inquiry-based learning experiences.

• Monitor, assess and report on student achievement.

• Build positive relationships with students, families and colleagues.

• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance student learning outcomes.

• Participate in extracurricular activities, school events and professional development opportunities.

About You

You are a passionate educator who believes in fostering a love of learning and helping young people develop confidence, resilience and curiosity.

You will bring:

• Experience teaching Secondary Science

• Strong knowledge of the Australian Curriculum and QCAA requirements

• The ability to design and deliver innovative, contemporary learning programs

• Excellent classroom management skills

• Effective communication and collaboration skills

• A commitment to ongoing professional learning and reflective practice

• Alignment with and support for the Christian ethos of the College

Essential requirements:

• Queensland College of Teachers registration

• Relevant tertiary teaching qualifications

• Commitment to child safety and student wellbeing

• Ability to support the mission, vision and values of St John's Anglican College
