We are seeking an enthusiastic and passionate Secondary Science Teacher to join our thriving college community. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a high-performing, future-focused learning environment where innovation, wellbeing and academice excellence are valued.
Reporting to the Head of Department, you will deliver engaging and contemporary Science programs that challenge, inspire and support students to achieve their potential. You will contribute to a culture of academic excellence through curriculum design and effective teaching practice.
The successful applicant will:
Design and deliver high-qualtiy, engaging and differentiated lessons.
Create engaging and inquiry-based learning experiences.
Monitor, assess and report on student achievement.
Build positive relationships with students, families and colleagues.
Collaborate with colleagues to enhance student learning outcomes.
Participate in extracurricular activities, school events and professional development opportunities.
About You
You are a passionate educator who believes in fostering a love of learning and helping young people develop confidence, resilience and curiosity.
You will bring:
Experience teaching Secondary Science
Strong knowledge of the Australian Curriculum and QCAA requirements
The ability to design and deliver innovative, contemporary learning programs
Excellent classroom management skills
Effective communication and collaboration skills
A commitment to ongoing professional learning and reflective practice
Alignment with and support for the Christian ethos of the College
Essential requirements:
Queensland College of Teachers registration
Relevant tertiary teaching qualifications
Commitment to child safety and student wellbeing
Ability to support the mission, vision and values of St John's Anglican College
