We're looking for a Sales Business Development Manager who knows how to build relationships, identify opportunities, and win projects. About the RoleAs our Sales Business Development Manager, you'll be responsible for driving sales growth across residential and commercial construction markets. You'll develop new business opportunities, manage key client relationships, and work closely with internal teams to ensure successful project outcomes.
This is a high-impact role with autonomy, flexibility, and strong commission opportunities for the right person.
Key ResponsibilitiesIdentify and secure new business opportunities within the construction sector
Develop relationships with builders, developers, architects, contractors, and project managers
Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting through to contract negotiation and closure
Conduct client meetings, presentations, and product demonstrations
Prepare quotations, proposals, and tender submissions
Maintain and grow existing customer relationships
Track opportunities and sales activities through CRM systems
Monitor market trends and competitor activity
Achieve and exceed monthly and annual sales targets
Proven experience in Business Development, Account Management, or Technical Sales
Experience selling construction products, building materials, architectural products, steel products, windows, doors, glazing, façade systems, or related solutions
Strong network within the Australian construction industry
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
Strong negotiation and closing abilities
Self-motivation and the ability to work autonomously
Experience managing a sales pipeline and achieving revenue targets
Current Australian Driver's Licence
Existing relationships with builders, developers, architects, and contractors
Experience working on commercial construction projects
Knowledge of project-based sales and tender processes
CRM experience (HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive, or similar)
Competitive salary package
$100,000 Base Salary + Superannuation
Uncapped Commission Structure
Realistic OTE of $160,000–$180,000+
