Project Engineer – Civil & Infrastructure

First Choice Telecoms Pty Ltd is a trusted Australian telecommunications infrastructure company who we have been connecting communities & delivering comprehensive, turnkey solutions to leading Telco providers including NBN, Telstra, and Optus.

Due to fast growth and a strong pipeline of projects across Australia, an exciting newly created opportunity within our high performing team has become available

•   3-year fixed term arrangement with a view to extend

• Remote position – work from anywhere with the flexibility to travel if & when required

• Reporting to the Operations Manager, this role has 3 direct reports

About the role

• Managing end to end civil, fiber & construction projects while ensuring strict delivery of projects within timeframe, budget and NBN standards

• Subcontractor & Workforce Leadership including technician/contractor site or pay enquiries, reviewing BOQs & site variations

• Quality & As-Built Compliance including overseeing QA documentation, defect management & submissions of As-built claims

• Stakeholder & Council Relations including coordinating Land access permits/approvals, Dial Before You Dig (BYDA) protocols, local council traffic management approvals, and utility clearances (power, water, gas)

• Enforce strict Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) standards on site

About you

• Bachelor’s degree in civil, Electrical, or Telecommunications Engineering (or equivalent industry experience)

• Minimum 2+ years’ experience delivering NBN or major telecommunications civil/fibre construction projects

• Experience leading and working collaboratively with industry experts & teams

• Available for the full length of the position
