Cocktail Bartenders – Events & Brand Activations

About the role

We're growing our events team and looking for experienced cocktail bartenders to join us. You'll be behind the bar at some of Melbourne's most exclusive weddings, brand launches and corporate functions, crafting quality cocktails while bringing energy, showmanship and genuine hospitality to every guest interaction. These roles start as casual, but for the right people with the drive to grow with us, there's real potential for one or two standouts to move into a more senior, full-time position within the business, taking on greater responsibility across our bar operations, stock and cellar management, and mentoring the wider team.

Key responsibilities

Preparing and serving cocktails to a high standard, front and centre at premium events
Bringing personality and flair to service, not just technical skill
Working comfortably with theatrical elements (smoke, liquid nitrogen, performance-style service)
Representing the Mister Bartender brand at luxury weddings, corporate events and activations
Working as part of a small, tight team to set up, run and pack down bar service
Keeping your section clean and compliant with RSA and food safety standards throughout service

About you

Solid cocktail-making experience, ideally in events, hospitality or high-volume bar settings
Comfort performing and engaging with guests, not just serving them
Current RSA certification (Victoria)
Reliability and professionalism. You'll often be the face of the brand at high-profile events
Availability on weekends, with events also running on weekdays
Your own reliable transport is a bonus given event locations vary across Melbourne

Bonus points: strong mixology skills or your own drink development experience aren't essential, but they'll definitely stand out to us. Prior experience with stock or cellar management, training junior staff, or running a bar's day-to-day operations is also highly valued, as we're keen to develop someone into a senior operational role.

Mister Bartender isn't your average mobile bar. We create premium cocktail experiences for weddings, corporate events, brand activations and private celebrations across Melbourne, working with names like Ferrari, Dior, Cartier, F1, Mercedes and Fendi. Our service is theatrical rather than transactional; think liquid nitrogen, smoke effects, staff in character, and bartenders who move with the music and genuinely connect with guests.
