Welding Supervisor

DXN Limited is a vertically integrated manufacturer and operator of modular data centres across Asia Pacific. The Company designs, engineers, manufactures, and operates high-quality, prefabricated facilities for government and blue-chip enterprise customers.

Reporting to the Production Manager, you will provide technical welding oversight across our fabrication workshop, where boilermakers, welders and trade assistants manufacture modular data centres.

As our certified Welding Supervisor under AS 2214, you own welding compliance across the facility: procedures, welder qualification, consumable control, inspection and NDT hold points. When a third-party inspector or a customer auditor walks through the door, you are the person who can stand behind every weld.

•   Acting as a key Fabricator for the business, coaching the fabrication crew, and setting the standard for safety, quality and productivity

•    Acting as the certified Welding Supervisor (AS 2214) with technical responsibility for all welding on site

•    Maintaining welder qualification currency, consumable and hydrogen control, and full weld traceability

•    Overseeing visual inspection, coordinating NDT, and managing weld repair and root cause analysis

•    Allocating labour and work fronts daily to hit build sequence, hold points and handover dates to fit-out

•    Driving right-first-time output, closing out NCRs, and supporting ISO 9001, and customer audits

•    Writing of Inspection and Test plans, Maintaining Welder registers and Project Weld traceability records 

•    Partnering with Engineering on joint design, distortion control and design for manufacture

•    Australian recognised trade certificate in engineering fabrication (boilermaker / welder or equivalent)

•    Current AS 2214 Welding Supervisor certification — this is a mandatory requirement and must be held on commencement and maintained throughout employment
