Dewatering Technician

MPI Recruitment is seeking experienced Dewatering Technicians to join our client, a gold producer in the Gold Fields region of WA.
 
What's on offer:

• 8/6, 7/7 FIFO from Perth

• 3-month contract with the potential to extend

• Commencing asap.

 
The role:
As a Dewatering Operator, you'll play a key role in supporting open pit mining operations by ensuring dewatering infrastructure is installed, maintained and operating efficiently.
 
Your responsibilities will include:

• Installing, relocating and removing poly pipelines, diesel pumping systems and associated dewatering equipment

• Inspecting, troubleshooting and repairing pumping systems to minimise downtime and maximise production

• Carrying out preventative maintenance and ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with site procedures

• Maintaining a high standard of housekeeping and contributing to a positive safety culture.

 
What we're looking for:

• Current C class driver's licence

• PMBWELD301B – butt welding of pipelines and piping components

• Integrated Tool Handler qualifications or relevant practical experience

• Previous experience in mine site dewatering operations

• A strong commitment to safety and the ability to work well within a team.
