Albury Wodonga Health is seeking a motivated Registered Nurse to join our dedicated team in Surgical Ward 1.
Surgical Ward 1 is a 23-bed unit specialising in the care of elective and emergency surgical patients, including orthopaedic, plastics, general surgical, and trauma cases. The ward provides high-quality pre and post-operative care in a fast-paced and rewarding environment.
As a Registered Nurse within the team, your responsibilities will include:
Comprehensive patient assessment and care planningPre and post-operative monitoring and observationIV and CVAD managementEscalation and management of patient deteriorationComplex wound careCoordination of multidisciplinary careDelivery of safe, evidence-based nursing care

About You
To be considered for this opportunity, you will have:
Australian citizenship, permanent residency, or valid working rights in AustraliaCurrent registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)A demonstrated commitment to person and family-centred careThe ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary teamAn understanding of quality improvement and risk management principlesThe ability to incorporate evidence-based practice into clinical careKnowledge of Work Health and Safety (WHS) responsibilitiesAn understanding of clinical governance principles in nursing practiceCompetency in the use of electronic health information systems and clinical software
