Warehouse & Installation Technician

About the role

The primary focus of this position is delivery and installation of fitness equipment. You'll be responsible for getting equipment from our warehouse to the customer, installing it correctly and safely, and ensuring the customer receives a professional experience from start to finish. You'll also provide support across our warehouse and service operations when you're not undertaking installations.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver fitness equipment to residential and commercial customer sites

• Safely load, transport and unload heavy and often high-value equipment

• Assemble and install a wide range of strength and cardio equipment including treadmills, racks, cable machines, benches, bikes, rowers and other fitness equipment

• Read and follow assembly and installation instructions

• Use hand and power tools confidently and safely

• Troubleshoot installation issues and find practical solutions

• Complete installations efficiently while maintaining a high standard of workmanship

• Lay, measure and cut rubber gym flooring when required

• Work safely in customer homes, commercial gyms, offices and other environments

• Represent Southern Cross Fitness professionally at every customer interaction

About you

• A current Full Australian Driver's Licence — essential

• Previous experience in installation, construction, trades, mechanical work, furniture assembly, machinery, warehousing or a similar hands-on environment

• Strong mechanical aptitude

• Confidence using hand and power tools

• Excellent attention to detail

• The physical capacity to regularly lift, carry and manoeuvre heavy equipment

• Strong problem-solving skills

• Good communication and literacy skills

• Excellent customer service skills

• A reliable and responsible approach to work
