Australian Fashion Festival
About the role
Graphic Design & Content Manager
Australian Fashion Festival | Melbourne | Fixed Term Contract (8 months)
Shape the visual identity of one of Victoria's biggest Major Events.
Australian Fashion Festival is one of the country's most exciting cultural moments - a platform where fashion and storytelling collide. We're looking for a creative powerhouse to manage our graphic design and content function through an 8-month fixed term contract, taking our visual identity from concept to runway (and everywhere in between).
If you live for great branding, thrive under pressure, and want your work seen by designers, partners, media and the public at one of Melbourne's flagship events - this is your Festival.
About the role
As Graphic Design & Content Manager, you'll work hand-in-hand with our Creative Director and Head of Marketing to bring the Festival's brand to life across every touchpoint - from campaign assets and social content to large-scale event signage, placemaking and on-site screens. You'll lead and execute graphic design, manage asset flow for photography and videography across our events, build a content library that tells the Festival's story for years to come, and be the creative go-to for teams across Marketing, Partnerships, Programming and Events.
This is a hands-on role for someone who can move seamlessly between big-picture art direction and the day-to-day realities of running a design and content pipeline at pace.
What you'll be doing
Partnering with the Creative Director on art direction across campaigns, brand and creative output
Leading the development of marketing assets and content across social, website, EDM, ATL and event signage
Driving creative content and storytelling that brings our brand, program and partnerships to life
Owning event signage and placemaking, from concept through to on-the-ground execution
Overseeing event photography and videography, building a high-quality content library
Managing the design and content workflow, keeping multiple projects moving to spec and on time
Acting as the primary creative contact for internal stakeholders and external suppliers (creative, digital and PR agencies, printers, photographers, videographers, producers)
Championing brand consistency and creative quality across everything we put out into the world
What you'll bring
Around 5 years' experience in graphic design, creative direction, content creation for fashion or lifestyle brands
A strong portfolio spanning creative projects and successful brand campaigns
Confident across Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and related tools
Excellent communication skills, with the confidence to work across all levels of seniority
Sharp organisational and planning skills - you can juggle competing priorities without missing a beat
Discretion and professionalism working with confidential information and high-profile talent
A calm, collaborative, solutions-first mindset, even when the pressure's on and the deadline's tomorrow
Why join us
Be part of the creative engine behind a landmark Victorian Major Event
Work at the intersection of fashion, culture and design with real creative ownership
Collaborate with a passionate, fast-moving team who love what they do
See your work come to life across campaigns, screens and the Festival floor itself
