Linehaul Operations Manager

The Company

Exodas is a well-established and growing transport and logistics company that has been operating along the East Coast of Australia, from Nth Queensland through to Melbourne for 24 years.

Head Office is located in Yatala with depots/yards in Melbourne, Sydney, Warnervale, Mackay, Bowen, Townsville, Tully, Innisfail and Mareeba.

The Role

Oversee and manage a team of allocators to ensure:

• Planning and scheduling drivers for the timely pick up and delivery of freight between Brisbane and North Queensland

• Planning of loading of freight to ensure maximum utilisation of company equipment, whilst also meeting Chain of Responsibility obligations

• Clear communication of instructions and expectations to drivers and other staff

• Clear and timely communication with external and internal parties

• Fatigue Management compliance

• Accurate and timely record keeping of the daily movements of drivers and equipment

• Seven day roster coverage

About you 

• Proven success leading allocations teams

• In depth knowledge of transport operations to and from North Queensland

• Experience and understanding of produce and refrigerated freight

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills 

• Strong attention to detail

• Intermediate (Office, Excel) computer skills are essential

• Ability to multi-task and prioritise in a sometimes high paced and high pressure environment
