About the role
First Nations People are Encouraged to Apply
Are you passionate about creating employment opportunities for young people? Do you have great networks, the ability to build relationships with local stakeholders, and experience in Employment Services, Workforce Australia, sales or recruitment? If so, we are very keen to hear from you!
OCTEC is one of Australia’s largest Transition to Work (TtW) providers and we are currently seeking talented Youth Employment Consultants to join our team in the Sydney South West Employment Region based at Liverpool.
You will thrive on the challenge of motivating young people, delivering quality employment services, and providing workplace support to both young people and employers. You will be supported by OCTEC’s great team and our industry-leading tools, including our Biz Support packages, to get the job done.
OCTEC is one of Australia’s largest Transition to Work (TtW) providers with a 46 year history of working with disadvantaged and vulnerable youth. We deliver TtW in five Employment Regions - Capital, Central West NSW, Sydney South West, Illawarra South Coast and Murray Riverina. We offer competitive salary packages including a fully maintained vehicle for business and private use, and the opportunity to join an established community business operating across Eastern Australia.
OCTEC exists to help create a fairer and more equitable society. One of our key values is respect for everyone who uses and delivers our services regardless of their gender, race, religion, disability or socioeconomic background. We see a diverse workforce as an essential element of quality service provision and we welcome applications from everyone regardless of their background. If you are successful in obtaining a position, you will be welcomed to the organisation and your unique contribution will be valued.
OCTEC requires all applicants to provide the following documents as part of their application: current National Police Check, current Working with Children Check (or equivalent such as a Working with Vulnerable People check), and proof of valid right to work in Australia. Applicants will not proceed to the interview stage of the recruitment process without meeting these requirements.
