About the role
About us
Dodgy Bros Dodgeball run unique pop-up dodgeball events for both kids and adults across schools, corporate teams, sporting clubs, youth groups, community events, private parties and even remote mine camps. What started as a Perth-based side hustle in 2016 has grown into one of Perth's most unique and popular events businesses, with operations now expanding into Victoria and the Northern Territory, with big plans to take Dodgy Bros Australia-wide. We're a genuinely fun team, and our business is built around bringing people together through fun, music, fitness and a few laughs along the way. That personality is at the heart of everything we do.
About the role
We're looking for a capable, energetic all-rounder to become a key part of the Dodgy Bros team and take ownership of a large part of our day-to-day operations. This is not a narrow, one-task role. You'll help coordinate events, support staff, manage logistics, keep equipment and bookings organised, contribute to marketing and content, and generally help make sure the business runs smoothly.
You'll receive full training and hands-on support from day one. As you build confidence and learn the business, you'll gradually take on more responsibility and become an important part of the day-to-day running of Dodgy Bros.
No two days will look the same. Some days you'll be out at an event with the team — loading equipment, setting up an arena and helping deliver an awesome experience for a school, corporate group or community event. Other days you'll be coordinating staff, managing logistics, answering questions, organising bookings or creating content for social media.
We currently run anywhere from 3 to 10+ events per week depending on the season, so there's always something happening.
Key responsibilities
Help coordinate and deliver pop-up dodgeball events, including setup, event delivery and pack-down, usually alongside another team member
MC'ing events, whether its kids or corporates
Coordinate event schedules, staffing, equipment and logistics
Act as a key point of contact for casual staff when questions or issues arise
Help manage bookings, equipment and travel logistics for regional and interstate events
Manage day-to-day online administration, bookings and communications
Contribute to social media and marketing content, including photos, video and reels
Identify potential problems early and take ownership of getting them resolved
Help improve systems and processes as the business continues to grow
Travel occasionally for regional WA and interstate events
About you
Outgoing, friendly and confident — you can manage a large group of kids, or win over a corporate crowd. Your ability to engage and interact with people of all ages in a friendly, personable manner is paramount.
Fit and active — this is a hands-on, on-your-feet role
Proactive and reliable — you take ownership, follow things through and don't need to be chased
Organised and practical — you're good at juggling different priorities, keeping things moving and making sure nothing falls through the cracks
Versatile and willing to get involved — you're comfortable jumping between different tasks, whether that's coordinating an event, helping a staff member, organising equipment, handling admin or creating content
Confident with people — you're comfortable working with staff, clients and customers
Interested in social media and content — experience creating photos, videos or reels is a bonus
Adaptable — you're comfortable working in a fast-moving small business where priorities can change and no two days are exactly the same
A current driver's licence holder — a manual or trailer licence is a bonus
Able to obtain a Working With Children Check if you don't already hold one
You don't need any dodgeball experience! We're looking for someone with energy, common sense, initiative and a willingness to get involved.
Benefits
Full training and ongoing support from day one
A genuinely fun and supportive team environment
A role with real variety — no two weeks are the same
Flexibility and autonomy as you become established in the role
Opportunities to travel for regional and interstate events
Flexible hours, with the potential for close to full-time hours over summer
The opportunity to take on increasing responsibility as the business grows
A chance to play a genuine role in shaping the next stage of Dodgy Bros
