About the role:

Seymour College is seeking enthusiastic and suitably qualified Casual OSHC Assistants to join our Out of School Hours Care (OSHC) team. This is a fantastic opportunity for educators who are passionate about working with children and creating engaging, safe and inclusive environments where young people can learn, play and thrive.

Working as part of a supportive team, you will assist in the delivery of Before School Care, After School Care and Vacation Care programs for children aged 4 to 12 years. As a Casual OSHC Assistant, you will:

• Support the delivery of engaging, play-based learning experiences for children.
• Assist in creating a safe, welcoming and stimulating environment.
• Build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues.
• Contribute ideas and observations to enhance children's experiences and development.
• Support daily routines and activities across OSHC programs.
• Participate in professional learning and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Uphold Seymour College's values and commitment to child safety and wellbeing.

About you:

You are a positive and caring educator who enjoys working as part of a collaborative team and building meaningful relationships with children and families.

To be considered for this role, you will hold (or be actively studying towards) a recognised qualification relevant to OSHC, such as Education, Early Childhood Education and Care, School Age Care, Teaching, Disability, Community Services, Social Work, Psychology, Health or a related discipline. You will also bring:

• Experience working with children in an OSHC, childcare, education or similar setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A proactive, flexible and reliable approach to work.
• The ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
• A genuine commitment to child safety and wellbeing.
• Current WWCC, RRHAN-EC Fundamentals & Masterclass certification, National Child Safety Foundation Training and First Aid in an education setting (or willingness to obtain).
