About the role
The Team
AAFCANS provides Defence members with access to quality food, beverage and retail items to support base welfare across 27 Army and Air Force bases. You will join a close knit People & Culture team who are an invaluable team in the business.
The Role
AAFCANS have an exciting opportunity for a full time People and Culture Administrator to join our Support Office team on Gallipoli Barracks, Enoggera, QLD. The successful candidate will have a fantastic opportunity to learn and grow their skills as a People and Culture professional. Reporting to the Head of People and Culture, you will work and thrive in an environment that delivers high volume outcomes, supported by a culture of work life balance.
This unique opportunity is not your typical HR role, as our business ethics are embedded in making every effort to support our team. You will join a team that is well respected for their responsive and helpful approach.
Key Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Assist and support the end-to-end recruitment process ie. placing job ads, screening applicants, scheduling interviews and participating in interviews.
Support the coordination of contract development, as well as the onboarding and induction experience for new team members.
Prepare and deliver monthly reporting and data analysis.
Update and maintain our HRIS systems eg. Employment Hero.
Providing general support to the team with internal team communications, reward & recognition initiatives, research and contribution to projects.
Assist with Defence Base access for team members and contractors.
The Ideal Candidate:
This role is ideal for a high-performing individual with a passion for HR and a strong desire to launch their HR career.
The successful candidate will possess:
A minimum 2 years of demonstrated experience in business administration,
Relevant experience/qualification in HR, Business, or related field is desirable,
High level of computer proficiency (including Excel, reporting/data programs), as well as strong data analysis skills,
Experience with Employment Hero would be advantageous,
Strong work ethic, attention to detail and a solutions-based mindset,
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and
Solid time management and organisational skills to be able to multitask effectively to meet competing deadlines.
