Clinic Manager - Golden Grove

The Clinic Manager will oversee the Heart & Vascular clinic at Golden Grove, reporting to the Practice and Operations Manager. The role centres on providing excellent service to doctors, patients and external parties, ensuring efficient patient workflow. You may also need to resolve issues specific to the Golden Grove clinic.  

Key objectives of the role

Take responsibility and be accountable for the efficient operations of the clinic which include day to day activities from reception to the clinical areas.

Liaise closely with cardiologists, technologists, clerical staff, hospital staff and our managers from other clinic branches.

Provide a high level of leadership to the clerical and technical teams to consistently produce quality results, maximising workflow, using resources efficiently and ensuring doctors, referrers and patient care are given high priority.

To be successful in this role, it is essential that you have the following:

Responsibilities

• Create work schedules and managing staff rosters, to cover staff shortages.
• Manage and ensure completion of patient fees and billing processes.
• Monitor reception and administration standards to ensure all staff are adhering to practice policies & procedures.
• Manage clinic changes for doctors and tests (Echo, Holter Monitors, ECGs)
• Participate in the performance appraisal process and provide constructive feedback and support to staff.
• Adhere to determined budgets.
• Attend monthly management and clinic manager meetings.
• Ensure staff complete end of day procedures with appropriate reconciliation.
• Build and maintain a network of strong relationships with referring doctors.
• Work with the Practice Manager and Healthcare liaison in building the Golden Grove clinic
• Proficiency working with medical based information systems.
• Support the Practice in its strategic direction.
• Addressing patient complaints and liaising with the Practice Manager.
• Working on the main reception desk, to demonstrate leadership and promote a healthy working environment (when required) 

Personal Skill/Attributes

• Experience within the health industry or similar.
• An outgoing friendly personality.
• A passion for excellence in customer service and medical practice.
• Ability to handle a high-pressure environment and work through difficult situations.
• Experience providing guidance and leadership to employees.
• Possess excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
• Excellent phone manner and the ability to quickly develop relationships.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to multi-task.
• Intermediate level of skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook).
• Honesty and integrity and the ability to work with confidential information.
• The ability to work productively both autonomously and within a team environment.

This role requires an experienced professional who can lead by example, has a natural ability to influence others and demonstrates tact, discretion and utmost professionalism with communication.

Previous managerial experience in an administrative role and leading staff within the medical field is mandatory.
