About the role

We are seeking talented Senior Hairstylists and Junior Hairstylists to join our dynamic team at Hair Colosseum in Stanhope Gardens, NSW. This is a full-time and part-time positions offering an exciting opportunity to work in a collaborative, professional salon environment. As a hairstylist with us, you will be at the heart of our business, delivering high-quality hair services and building lasting relationships with our diverse clientele. Whether you are an experienced senior stylist or a promising junior looking to develop your skills, you will find a supportive workplace that values your contribution and invests in your professional growth.

What you'll be doing

• Providing a full range of hair services including cutting, colouring, styling, and treatments

• Consulting with clients to understand their hair goals and recommending appropriate services and products

• Maintaining high standards of hygiene and salon cleanliness

• Building and maintaining strong client relationships to encourage loyalty and repeat bookings

• Keeping up to date with current hair trends, techniques, and industry best practices

• Collaborating with team members to create a positive and supportive salon atmosphere

• Managing client bookings and ensuring appointments run smoothly

• For Senior Hairstylists: Mentoring and supporting junior team members in developing their skills and techniques

• For Junior Hairstylists: Learning from experienced stylists and gradually building your client base and technical expertise

What we're looking for

• Valid hairdressing qualification or apprenticeship completion (essential for all applicants)

• Current senior stylist certification or equivalent experience (for Senior Hairstylist role)

• Demonstrated expertise in cutting, colouring, and styling techniques

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a genuine passion for customer service

• A creative mindset with an eye for current and emerging hair trends

• Ability to work as part of a team whilst also maintaining professional autonomy

• Physical fitness and stamina required for full-time salon work

• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high professional standards

• For Senior Hairstylists: Proven experience in a salon environment with a track record of client satisfaction and team leadership

• For Junior Hairstylists: Eagerness to learn, develop technical skills, and grow within the salon industry

• Experience with popular hair products and salon software systems is advantageous
