Inclusion Support Educator - Penrith Area

About the role

The Learning Jungle PTY LTD is seeking a Inclusion Support Educator to join our team in the Penrith area, specifically based in Werrington NSW 2747. This is a part-time position that offers an excellent opportunity to begin your career in early childhood education and care. As an Inclusion Support Early Childhood Educator, you will play an important role in supporting the inclusion of all children, including those with additional needs, within our early learning environments. You will work collaboratively with educators and families to create supportive, engaging, and equitable learning opportunities where every child feels valued and can thrive. As a service, compliance and child safety remain our highest priority, and you will be expected to uphold our child-safe practices in all aspects of your role.

This role is a fixed-term contract.

Key responsibilities

• Work with educators, families, and specialists to implement individualised support plans for children with additional needs.

• Provide guidance and support to educators in adopting inclusive practices, ensuring all children can engage meaningfully in the learning environment.

• Assist in sourcing and utilising specialist equipment and resources to facilitate inclusion, in line with the Inclusion Support Program guidelines.

• Promote understanding and awareness of inclusion within the broader community, advocating for the rights and needs of all children.

• Maintain Mandatory Reporting responsibilities and requirements.

• Assist qualified educators in providing safe, nurturing and stimulating care for children of various ages

• Support the implementation of educational activities and play-based learning experiences that promote children's development across all developmental domains

• Maintain a clean, hygienic and safe environment that complies with childcare regulations and standards

• Assist with daily routines including meal times, rest periods, personal hygiene and transitions between activities

• Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding their child's day, activities and wellbeing

• Support the supervision and safety of children during indoor and outdoor play

• Contribute to positive relationships amongst children, staff and families within the centre

• Follow all childcare centre policies, procedures and legislative requirements

What we're looking for

• Currently enrolled, willing to enrol in or recent completion of a childcare or early childhood education qualification (Certificate III or higher in Childcare or equivalent)

• A genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their development

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues

• Patience, empathy and a calm approach to managing children's behaviour and emotions

• Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively as part of a team under supervision

• Commitment to maintaining a safe, clean and stimulating environment

• Reliable and punctual attendance

• Current First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain within three months of employment)

• Working with Children Check (WWCC) clearance or ability to obtain one

• Demonstrated experience in supporting children with additional needs.

• Knowledge of EYLF and NQS.

• Commitment to upholding a Child Safe Organisation and inclusive practices.

• Maintain Mandatory National Child Safety Training.

• Previous experience working with children in an educational or care setting is desirable but not essential for trainees
