About the role
What is TRAK Forward?
TRAK Forward provides specialist therapeutic support to adult and child victim survivors of family violence, helping them move forward from the impact of violence and begin their recovery journey.
Working within a trauma-informed, phase-based framework, the program provides individual and joint therapeutic interventions across the age range. This includes adults who may or may not be parents, children and young people, and parent-child dyads.
Alongside counselling, families can access complementary supports including peer support, art therapy and trauma-informed yoga.
Make your mark
Join a specialist team of eight, including the Team Leader, working within a multidisciplinary and multi-agency partnership focused on recovery and healing.
You will:
Mandatory Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degrees, Graduate Certificates, and Master’s Degrees are required to work in family violence programs. If you hold a Diploma, then you will need to complete further study and complete a higher level of education.

Skills and experience we value:
We are looking for a degree-qualified social work, psychologist or in a related discipline, aligned to the MMQ, with a strong foundation in family violence and trauma therapy.
