Senior Occupational Therapist

Senior Occupational Therapist | Part-Time or Full-Time | Community + Clinic | Melbourne's West

Our Physio Co has been delivering allied health across aged care, community, and NDIS for over a decade. We've recently added a clinic to the mix, based in Avondale Heights, and we're looking for a senior OT to take on a caseload of their own while also supervising and supporting our new graduate OTs.

The role:
This is a senior position with two sides to it. You'll hold your own caseload; split between home visits across Melbourne's west and sessions at our Avondale Heights clinic; and you'll also be the go-to senior for our newer OTs, providing clinical supervision, case discussion, and day-to-day support as they build their skills.

The caseload:

• Paediatrics — developmental support, ASD, early intervention

• Adults — neurological, physical and psychosocial presentations

• Older adults — functional decline, independence and mobility support

• A mix of NDIS, Home Care Package and private clients

The work:

• Assessments, functional reports and therapy plans

• Home modifications and assistive technology prescriptions

• Interventions split between clients' homes and our Avondale Heights clinic

• Formal and informal supervision of newer OTs; case load management, clinical reasoning, and confidence-building in the field

• Working alongside physios, speechies, podiatrists and dietitians under one roof

What we're after:

• AHPRA-registered OT with solid NDIS experience and a strong handle on plans and support coordinator relationships

• Comfortable moving between community and clinic in the same week

• Experience or genuine interest in mentoring newer clinicians

• Confident holding your own clinical judgement while still working well within a multidisciplinary team
