2nd Year Apprentice Boilermaker

What You’ll Be Learning

• Continuation of apprenticeship

• Safe use of hand tools, grinders, and workshop equipment

• Basic MIG, FCAW (Inner Shield), and Stick welding techniques

• Weld preparation, grinding, and clean-up

• Reading and interpreting basic workshop drawings

• Assisting with heavy Fabrication

• Plate handling and workshop housekeeping

• Working to AS/NZS 1554 quality requirements (under supervision)

• Workshop safety and quality procedures

About You

• Driven and motivated 2nd Apprentice Boilermaker / Metal Fabricator looking to continue their apprenticeship

• Mechanically minded with good hand skills

• Reliable, punctual, and strong work ethic

• Willing to learn and take direction from tradespeople

• Good attitude toward safety and quality

• Physically fit and capable of manual work

• Driver’s Licence preferred but not essential

Highly Regarded

• Must have already started an apprenticeship in Fabrication/Boilermaker

• Driver licence

• Forklift ticket (LF)

• Experience in MEM equipment
