The position is for full-time employment as a School Learning Support Officer, immediate start.
The successful candidate will:
· Be enthusiastic, hardworking and energetic, demonstrating a willingness to learn, take initiative.
· Have a positive and warm attitude towards young children and seeing them nurtured in all areas.
· Have completed Year 12 HSC or Equivalent
· Have relevant qualifications such as a Diploma of Education Support, Certificate III or IV in Education Support
· Hold a current NSW Working with Children Check or be willing to obtain one prior to employment.
· Hold a current First Aide Certificate or be willing to obtain one upon employment.
Key roles and responsibilities:
· Assist in providing individual and small-group educational support intervention
· Provide individual assistance to students as necessary
· Assist students to complete work during whole class activities.
· Assist in implementing class rules and routines
· Work collaboratively with the Learning Support team and classroom teachers to develop resources, deliver set programs and provide adjustments for students with learning difficulties
· Accompany students on school excursions or out-of-routine activities such as sporting carnivals
· Communicate effectively and meet with parents as appropriate/required to discuss the needs of their child
· Supervise students whilst on playground duties and assist with bus supervision.
