Driving Instructor/Administration Assistant

About the role

This is a split role combining driving instruction with administration operations. As a Driving Instructor, you will deliver high-quality dual-controlled driving lessons to students of various age groups, experience levels and people with disabilities, and prepare students thoroughly for their practical driving assessments. As an Administration Officer, you will schedule appointments, assist with enquiries, serve as the first point of contact for student inquiries via phone, email, and social media, and process customer payments and assist with basic bookkeeping.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality dual-controlled driving lessons to students of various age groups, experience levels and people with disabilities

• Prepare students thoroughly for their practical driving assessments

• Work with specialised vehicle modifications, adaptive driving controls, and equipment to suit individual client needs

• Maintain precise digital logs of student progress, lesson outcomes, and competencies

• Ensure the training vehicle is clean, safe, and regularly maintained

• Schedule appointments

• Serve as the first point of contact for student inquiries via phone, email, and social media

• Process customer payments and manage basic bookkeeping

• Support and liaise with Occupational Therapists where needed

• Help with marketing and social media

About you

• Must hold (or be willing to obtain) a valid Driving Instructor License / Cert IV in motor vehicle driver training or Department of Transport qualified

• A clean, valid open driver's licence with an excellent driving record

• Current Working with Children Check (WWCC) and National Police Clearance

• Basic computer literacy

• Exceptional patience, clear communication skills, and a calm demeanour under pressure
