About the role
Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic
$50.00 per hour exclusive of superannuation
With a fleet of over 190 prime movers and trailing equipment across WA, ACFS provides a technically diverse workshop environment supporting a multi-OEM fleet.
We are currently seeking an experienced Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic to join our O’Connor workshop.
What we offer:
average yearly earnings potentially $150k
Overtime and allowances available (including weekend work)
Weekly pay
Permanent, full-time position
Established workshop with experienced tradespeople
Modern fleet maintained in-house
Ongoing work across a varied and high-utilisation fleet
About the role:
Diagnostics, fault finding and repair of heavy-duty diesel engines, drivetrains and associated systems
Servicing, maintenance and breakdown repairs across prime movers and trailers
Electrical fault-finding including lighting, ABS/EBS and auxiliary systems
Repairs and maintenance across OEM fleet including Mercedes, Kenworth, Fuso and UD
Preventative maintenance in line with NHVR and manufacturer requirements
Running repairs to maintain fleet availability and operational performance
Accurate completion of job cards and maintenance records
What you bring:
Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic trade qualification (essential)
Strong diagnostic capability across mechanical and electrical systems
Proven experience working on heavy vehicle fleets in a workshop or fleet environment
Ability to carry out repairs efficiently with a focus on minimising downtime
Experience with fleet maintenance programs and defect rectification
Sound understanding of heavy vehicle safety and compliance requirements
Ability to work autonomously and within a team environment
Strong attention to detail and workmanship standards
Desirable:
HR or HC licence
Forklift licence
Experience across multiple OEM platforms
