Accountant

About the role

An excellent opportunity to join a well established Chartered Accounting business with a diverse range of clients. Optima Partners is seeking experienced Accountants to join our growing team in Osborne Park.

As a full-time Accountant, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality financial accounting, taxation and reporting services to our diverse client base.

What you'll be doing

• Preparing and analysing financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements.

• Preparation tax returns for all types of entities (ie company, trust, partnership, individual).

• Preparation of Business Activity Statements.

• Working with management on matters regarding clients.

• Liaising directly with clients on business and taxation matters

What we're looking for

• Degree in Accounting or a related field

• Experience in a professional accounting practice in Australia

• Confident in building client relationships

• Completed, commenced or intention to commence CA or CPA qualification would be highly regarded

• Experience with the preparation of tax returns, business activity statements and financial statements, analysis and reporting

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

• Highly organised with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines

• Well developed communication and interpersonal skills·   

• XERO Practice Manager and Workpaper experience would be highly regarded

• Experience with at least two cloud and desktop accounting packages – eg XERO, MYOB, Intuit QBO etc would be advantageous
