• Interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, specifications, and manufacturers' manuals to determine installation and servicing requirements.
• Install, commission, service, maintain, and repair commercial and residential air conditioning, refrigeration, ventilation, and HVAC systems.
• Install refrigeration pipework, copper tubing, compressors, condensers, evaporators, motors, fans, thermostats, control panels, and associated mechanical and electrical components.
• Fabricate, braze, weld, install, and connect refrigeration pipework and fittings in accordance with technical specifications.
• Perform scheduled servicing, preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs to maximise equipment performance, reliability, and service life.
• Provide professional technical advice and maintain a high standard of customer service while working independently and collaboratively with other technicians.

Essential Requirements

• A trade qualification in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Mechanics or an equivalent overseas trade qualification relevant to the occupation.
• A minimum of four (4) years of relevant full-time industry experience, including at least one (1) year of Australian experience and a minimum of three (3) years of overseas experience in the installation, servicing, maintenance, and repair of commercial and residential air conditioning and refrigeration systems.
• Demonstrated experience in the installation, commissioning, servicing, maintenance, fault diagnosis, and repair of HVAC and refrigeration systems.
• Strong knowledge of refrigeration, air conditioning, ventilation systems, and associated mechanical and electrical components.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, electrical schematics, and manufacturers' specifications.
• Excellent fault-finding, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and organisational skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Current Australian Driver's Licence (essential), manual licence an advantage.
