The Coordinator Revenue role is a critical leadership position within Council's Finance and Governance function, responsible for ensuring the effective management, integrity and compliance of Council's revenue operations. The position oversees the administration of rates, charges, revenue collection, financial reconciliations, reporting, budgeting inputs and audit requirements, ensuring Council maintains accurate revenue records and collects income in
accordance with legislative requirements and Council policies. As Council's subject matter expert in revenue management, the role provides specialist advice across the organisation and supports informed decision-making that underpins Council's financial sustainability.
This position also plays a significant role in leading and developing the Revenue team, driving process improvements, maintaining internal controls, and supporting strategic financial planning initiatives. The Coordinator Revenue is responsible for managing key stakeholder relationships, developing policies and procedures, overseeing fees and charges frameworks, and identifying opportunities to enhance operational efficiency and customer outcomes. the specialised technical expertise, leadership responsibilities and direct impact on Council's revenue streams and financial governance, it is essential that a suitably qualified and experienced candidate is secured to ensure continuity of service delivery and minimise organisational risk.
The Position
Based in Yeppoon, the Coordinator Revenue Services is a member of the Revenue Services team for Council. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the Revenue team's daily operations, ensuring efficient, professional and confidential service delivery while fostering positive relationships with staff and the community.
Key responsibilities, qualifications and experience include:
- High level with Infor Pathway
- Sound level with TechOne
- Experience with Local Government Debt Recovery and Collaboration with external provider
Collections House.
- Revenue and Treasury Accountant background a bonus.
- Hold Tertiary qualification in Business (Accounting or related discipline) and substantial experience in
a revenue management or accounting focused position.
