Senior Project Engineer - Civil & Infrastructure

About the Role

We're looking for an experienced Senior Project Engineer to join our Civil & Infrastructure team delivering critical civil infrastructure works supporting Australia's Defence capability near Whyalla, South Australia.

Working closely with the Project Manager and an experienced delivery team, you'll play a key role in the successful delivery of the project, providing technical leadership while managing procurement, contract administration, scheduling, cost control and stakeholder engagement.

This permanent full-time role operates on a Drive-In Drive-Out (DIDO) roster, with accommodation and applicable work-away allowances provided.

What You'll Do

• Lead and support engineering and site teams throughout project delivery.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and project stakeholders.
• Manage procurement, contract administration, project scheduling and cost control.
• Monitor project budgets, forecasting, progress claims and variations.
• Champion a strong safety culture and ensure quality and compliance standards are maintained.
• Build strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and consultants.
• Mentor Project Engineers and site personnel.
• Prepare and review technical documentation, RFIs and project reporting.
• Identify project risks and opportunities while supporting successful project delivery.

What You'll Bring

• Degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum five years' experience delivering civil infrastructure or construction projects.
• Strong commercial, contract administration and project management experience.
• Experience managing procurement, subcontractors and project planning.
• Sound understanding of project budgets, forecasting and reporting.
• Experience using project management platforms such as InEight, Aconex or Procore.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
• Demonstrated leadership experience working with project teams.
• Current White Card and Driver's Licence.
• National Police Clearance
