Parts Interpreter

An exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced Parts Interpreter to join our small team in Export Park, SA.

• The Spare Parts Interpreter will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and timely handling of all parts inquiries and quotes
• Responsible for providing outstanding customer support, coordinating parts orders, managing inventory, and maintaining accurate records
• This position requires a high level of independence, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders
• Committed to delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring that our clients' needs are met with the highest level of professionalism

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and promptly respond to phone and email inquiries from customers
• Provide accurate quotes for spare parts and obtain customer purchase orders
• Enter customer orders, raise delivery dockets, stock transfers, and invoices
• Coordinate with suppliers to order parts for internal and customer orders and arrange collection if necessary
• Generate spare parts invoices on a weekly basis and reconcile outstanding orders
• Process warranty claims with suppliers and coordinate the receipt of replacement parts

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing or engineering environment
• Forklift license is highly desirable
• Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping
• Proficient computer skills and experience with inventory management systems
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently and take initiative in problem-solving while keeping the manager informed
