Nevetts Lawyers is an established law firm headquartered in the regional hub of Ballarat, tracing our history back to the Gold Rush. We have strong litigation, commercial, workplace relations, property, estate and infrastructure practices and deep connections within our community.

Our commercial practice is diverse and specialised. We assist clients with complex commercial leasing matters, documenting business co-ownership arrangements, significant business and corporate transitions, mergers and acquisitions, highly customised commercial contracts (including commercial construction documentation, supply and hire arrangements), finance and funding arrangements. Within our commercial team, we have a significant agribusiness practice dealing with renewable energy infrastructure negotiations, farm succession planning and business structuring.

We are highly experienced in transactional and advisory work for small to medium enterprises and we pride ourselves on our ability to connect with our clients and their advisors, building long-lasting relationships.

About you...

We are seeking to recruit a new member to our team who has the right mix of:

• An ability to work with complex legal issues and how they fit within a broader commercial context;

• Good legal instincts; and

• An overarching desire to help our clients navigate through whatever it is they are seeking our assistance with.

The successful candidate must have 5+ years of relevant post-admission experience in this area. You must also be someone who shares and demonstrates our core values: authenticity, excellence, connection, empathy, constructive engagement and accountability.

Current admission to practice law in Victoria is mandatory.

Whilst we are seeking someone to join the team full-time, we would be open to consider a part-time arrangement.
