A great opportunity for a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic to join our fully geared Defence Maintenance Contract team based at the Defence Base Workshop at Edinburgh, just north of Adelaide SA.

As a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic, you will conduct routine maintenance and repairs on a wide range of heavy military vehicles, including 4WD's, trucks, tracked and armoured vehicles, infantry personnel carriers and even armoured tanks!

About The Role

Conduct Maintenance tasks, including technical inspection and classificationRepair or replace worn or faulty parts by removing assemblies such as engines, transmissions and differentials.Reassemble, test, clean and adjust repaired or replaces partsCarry out minor body repairs and minor trim repairsTest and repair electrical systems such as lighting, ignition and electronic fuel injectionInspect vehicles and issue road worthiness certificates

About You

Cert III Heavy Vehicle Mechanic or equivalent levelDemonstrated experience to inspect, repair and maintain Light, Medium and Heavy vehiclesMust possess a current Australian State or Territory class C Driver's LicenseYou must be an Australian Citizen and able to maintain a Defence Security Clearance
