Fellow - Pain Management
This is a Recruitment Pool for Fixed Term Full Time appointments for 6 or 12 months with the possibility of extension(s).
Suitable applicants will be placed in a pool from which appointments may be made when similar vacancies occur. Appointments may be made from this pool until 31/12/2026. Appointments for this position will not commence until 2027.
Salary: MP Year 1-2 $188,817 - $198,142 p.a. (plus 12% superannuation and professional development allowance)
Position Profile:
This position has been designed for Pain Medicine trainees in the Professional Development Year of the Faculty of Pain Medicine Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (FPMANZCA) to consolidate their knowledge in preparation for practicing as a Specialist Pain Medicine Physician. There is a focus on further strengthening skills in Interventional Pain Medicine, collaborative multi-disciplinary management of complex quaternary pain patients, co-ordinating and leading the multi-disciplinary team and providing teaching opportunities for junior medical staff. It is a full-time position at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital Pain Management Unit.

It is home to WA's only comprehensive cancer centre - the largest cancer treatment centre in the State - and is the State's principal hospital for neurosurgery and liver transplants.
Osborne Park Hospital (OPH) is a > 200 bed secondary hospital offering a range of health services including a maternity and gynaecology unit (a satellite site of Women and Newborn Health Service) that provides obstetric care and gynaecology with low to moderate risk pregnancies, the Geriatric Acute and Rehabilitation Medicine service, and elective surgeries and procedures.
