Venture Capital Analyst / Associate

Role DescriptionWe are seeking a highly analytical and commercially minded Venture Capital Analyst / Associate to support investment research, opportunity evaluation, due diligence, portfolio monitoring, and strategic initiatives. The role involves assessing startups, markets, business models, financial performance, and growth opportunities to support informed investment decisions.Key responsibilities include:Conduct market, industry, sector, and competitive research to identify emerging trends and investment opportunities.Source, screen, and evaluate potential investment opportunities based on defined investment criteria.Analyze startup business models, products, market potential, competitive positioning, financial performance, and growth prospects.Build and maintain financial models, forecasts, valuation analyses, and investment scenarios.Support due diligence processes, including commercial, financial, operational, and market assessments.Prepare investment memos, company profiles, market studies, presentations, and other materials for investment discussions.Track and analyze portfolio company performance, key metrics, strategic developments, and industry trends.Support portfolio companies with market research, strategic analysis, business planning, and relevant value-creation initiatives.Monitor developments across the venture capital, technology, startup, and broader investment ecosystem.Maintain investment databases, pipeline records, market intelligence, and transaction documentation.Collaborate with investment professionals and external stakeholders throughout the investment process.Contribute to thesis development and identification of new sectors, technologies, and business models with strong growth potential.QualificationsBachelor’s degree or above in Finance, Economics, Business, Accounting, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.Strong understanding of financial analysis, corporate finance, valuation, and investment principles.Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to evaluate complex business and financial information.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with financial modeling and data analysis tools is preferred.Strong research skills and the ability to synthesize large amounts of information into clear investment insights.Understanding of startup ecosystems, technology markets, venture capital, private equity, or investment analysis is an advantage.Strong commercial awareness and curiosity about emerging technologies, business models, and market trends.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings clearly and persuasively.Strong attention to detail, intellectual rigor, and sound judgment.Ability to manage multiple opportunities, analyses, and deadlines simultaneously.Strong interpersonal and stakeholder-management skills.High level of integrity, discretion, initiative, and ownership.Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
