FOH Staff / Hostess

About the role

Souvlaki Time is looking for a warm, friendly and organised FOH Staff Member / Hostess to join our team. You'll be one of the first points of contact for our customers, welcoming guests, taking orders and helping ensure every service runs smoothly. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in providing a great customer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Warmly greeting customers and creating a positive first impression

• Taking dine-in, takeaway and telephone orders accurately

• Processing payments and confidently using the POS system

• Coordinating customer seating and managing the flow of service

• Serving food and drinks efficiently while maintaining presentation standards

• Communicating closely with the kitchen and other team members

• Responding to customer enquiries and resolving minor concerns professionally

• Keeping the front counter, dining area and service stations clean and organised

• Assisting with opening, closing, setup and pack-down duties

• Maintaining a calm and welcoming presence during busy service periods

About you

• Friendly, approachable and confident with customers

• Excellent customer service and communication skills

• Reliable, punctual and well presented

• Strong attention to detail

• Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

• A positive attitude and willingness to help the team

• Able to remain calm and efficient under pressure

• Available to work Thursday to Sunday, including evenings

• Previous hospitality or customer-service experience is required

  • Thursday to Saturday: 9:30 am to 9:00 pm

  • Sunday: 9:00 am to 4:00 pm
