Book Keeper / Accountant

About the role

TELCO ANTENNAS is seeking a skilled Book Keeper / Accountant to join our team on a casual basis. This is an excellent opportunity to provide essential financial management and bookkeeping support to a growing business. Based in Hemmant, QLD, this casual position offers flexibility whilst contributing meaningfully to our financial operations and ensuring accurate records are maintained across all transactions.

What you'll be doing

• Recording and classifying financial transactions in accounting systems

• Reconciling bank statements and accounts to ensure accuracy

• Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable processes

• Preparing and maintaining financial records and ledgers

• Processing invoices, receipts and expense reports

• Assisting with payroll processing and related documentation

• Performing month-end and year-end closing procedures

• Preparing financial reports and statements for management review

• Supporting compliance with tax obligations and regulatory requirements

• Identifying and resolving discrepancies in financial records

What we're looking for

• Proven experience working as a bookkeeper or accountant, ideally in a small to medium-sized business environment

• Strong proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel

• Solid understanding of bookkeeping principles, general ledger processes and financial reporting

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping

• Strong organisational and time management skills

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively

• Knowledge of Australian tax and accounting standards

• Professional communication skills and the ability to liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders

• A relevant qualification such as a Certificate in Accounting or Bookkeeping, or equivalent practical experience

• Discretion and confidentiality in handling sensitive financial information
