About the role

We’re looking for a Casual Operations Assistant to join our team for approximately 20 hours per week, with hours potentially varying depending on workload.
This is a great opportunity for someone looking to gain experience in a busy office and operations environment. The role could suit a university student or someone looking for flexible working hours, and we’re open to working around your availability where possible.
You’ll provide general operational and administrative support to the Branch Manager and wider team, helping with day-to-day tasks and keeping things running smoothly. You don’t need extensive experience, a positive attitude, willingness to learn and a good eye for detail are what matter most.
What You'll Be Doing
Providing general operational and administrative support to the Branch Manager and wider team
Accurate data entry and updating internal systems
Assisting with job noting and maintaining accurate records
Supporting the team with day-to-day office and operational tasks
Liaising with builders, suppliers and internal teams in a professional and friendly manner
Assisting with job updates and providing relevant information to the team
Learning our systems, processes and the basics of the residential construction industry
Helping with general tasks to ensure the branch operates efficiently
What We're Looking For
A positive, reliable and can-do attitude
Good attention to detail and accuracy
Basic computer skills and confidence learning new systems
Good communication and organisational skills
Ability to follow instructions and use initiative
A willingness to learn and support the wider team
Someone who enjoys being part of a friendly and supportive workplace
Previous administration or office experience is helpful, but not essential
An interest in or understanding of the construction industry is advantageous, but not required
